Optimum mix of Features and Price

I was looking for a product with a good bat life , touch screen , bluetooth , wi-fi and a complete office suite.

After a decent amount of "research" I ended up with 2 choices , the sony P1i and the Nokia E61i. Having never used anything but Nokia’s earlier it was a tough call , but the 3.2 megapixel camera , biz card scanner and touch screen adv I went for the P1i.

I have been using it for about a month now and here goes;

  • its not as sluggish as reports seem to suggest ( unless ur looking for speed of thought)

-i’m still not comfy with the 2letters to a key QWERTY keyboard ( however handwriting recognition is very good and so is predictive text , so no complains on)

-the 3.2 MP camera is Ok for outdoors and mediocre for indoors

-the biz card scanner is useless in most cases ( considering the time it takes to capture , scan , process and the inevitable editing needed)

-Bat life is more or less 3.5 hrs talk time. Lasts me for @ 2 days on the outside ( 30 mins on the web , 45 mins radio/music  minor office suite work)

-The radio is good

-Music output is lousy on the earphones provided

-The screen smudges very easily , and a screen guard makes the touch screen sluggish.

-the carry case provided in the pack is pathetic , and accessories are just not available (Sony are you hearing me?)

-themes are very childish and unimaginative

-boot time is considerable

-1 GB card (M2 @#$%^!!!) with cell is insufficient ( esp with blackberry, office and mp3 loads)

-the customizable shortcut keys are a lifesaver

-the golf game is decent but more games would have been appreciated

All in all i’m liking it though!
