I replaced my Nokia6630, the last review I wrote about, with the SE P1i this may. And after 3 months of usage, it still wows me with the versatility and usefulness!
Lets look at the device, the pros and cons. Lets start with the pros or features first, the cons later on, and finally, some less known secrets, which I am sure you all wld love!
The P1i is simply features galore! Anything, virtually anything you wish for in a cell phone, it’s in there. I wld say SE is very poor in product marketing. Since I haven’t seen any ad in print/audio/visual media. To start with, it has a Symbian 9 OS with UIQ 3. Sounds too techy?
Connectivity: It’s got almost all! Infrared, 3G, Bluetooth, Wireless (b/g mixed mode), USB etc. You can synch, transfer data etc. seamlessly. However, it lacks HSDPA and EDGE. But with 3G, it’s not much of an impact. The Wi-Fi connects easily, and supports multiple profiles, as well as all security mechanisms such as WEP, Enterprise/personal WPA, TEK etc.
