I have purchased this mobile 1 month ago. If you want the review in plain & few words than "Donot buy this phone u can have a HTC Touch insted which is along with the same features".
*Mobile Features :
* Looks : looks are ok, the Quatra keyboard is something new but u will hardly be using it.The mobile will look old soon after u purchase it.
Camera : 3.2 Mega Pixel camera with auto focus & a green tint in it. Now this green tint is not a feature but a problem, The photos that u take has a gree shade on its right side, & truely if u want to resolve this problem it will be a pain for you in wrong places (I’am feedup of visiting the service center & tired of this GREEN TINT it is not resolved), so if u have already purchased this mobile & want to solve this problem purchase one more mobile which you can use when your P1i is in the service center b’coz thats going to take a hell long long time.
Speed : The speed is ok .
Battery : Not a good battery life u will have to charge it daily even when the screen brightness is 70% & wify & bluetooth is off.
Music & Sound: This is really not a phone for music, but the sound is preety good
Usability : Not that user friendly, it will take u some time to cope up with its features. I think this phone was built for a left handed guy b, coz u have the jog dial & back button on wrong sides.
Other Features : it has bluetooth & wiFy which work gr8, it also has a Bluetooth (PAN) using which you can connect it in a bluetooth network, but it doesnot work with toshiba bluetooth devices(I have tried it many times) & most Laptos have the same. It also has e-mail outlook kind of software. It has features to hide a file but to unhide it again you have to use "swiss Manager" (You can download it from the net) or connect it to laptop & do it.
The mobile camera has a gree tint issue, so if u already have purchased this mobile, try taking a snap of a plain white paper or plain white board; check if the snap has a green shade on the right hand side. The service center people say that this shade is not visible in the photo if u see it on computer, that’s bullshit.
So if u r looking for a PDA phone WITHOOUT A CAMERA u can have this, b’coz the camera will really upset u a lot & freek u out.
The best thing I suggest is the camera problem is solved(as from the reviews from net) but I dont think it is solved for the Indian Lot, so u should wait a couple of monts, or check out the new Sony ericssion X1 it looks great.
I wanted a PDA with a good camera & this phone has freaked me out due to the camera & their service, I dont think I will ever dare to buy a sony ericssion phones (the service center except u to be free b’coz they provide service from 10:00 to 5:00 which is a general office time, & they also think u can go without a mobile for monts)
So if u want to buy this mobile better get a spare mobile also
