I decided to buy a new mobile when my Nokia 6610 showed signs of old age. I thought of buying a slim mobile, which does not cost more than 9000. So, my search came to a pause at Nokia 6300. The reason behind this was I had been using Nokia for past 4 years and it didn’t give me much trouble. And my friend already had this piece and advised to go ahead. But I was hesitant as this mobile was a trend that time and I could find it in many hands(rather ears). I’m a guy who is particular about "different in crowd". So, I thought of searching for alternatives. Then I searched the Sony Ericsson website for their new models.
I should say, my eyes got stuck at the image of this phone, which was the newest in the sliding model. I went through the details, I found it lacks FM radio. That was not my concern as I’m not a listener of radio. I tried to find the price online, but couldn’t get much info as this was a new product then. Searched many stores for it and found it cannot be mine without 11k, which was about 2000 above my budget. So, I thought of waiting. The next day, my Nokia phone died and I went to the nearest Mobile Store and bought this one for 10900. I don’t regret for paying this amount.
I was attracted by the looks of this mobile. I was a bit afraid about it’s performance at the time of buying, but still thought of giving a try. And it didn’t disappoint me. It has a great look, very sleek and light, awesome display(screen), excellent voice and picture(camera) clarity. Till I buy this phone, I did not have the habit of listening to songs using a headset. I clicked many photos with it and all came out with good clarity and looks as if those were taken with a digital camera.
But, I face one(and only) problem with this set. Sometimes when I make a call, I cannot hear the voice from the other end. It happens like this: when I dial, after the call is connected, I get "Spkr. Off" and "Cancel" on either sides at the bottom instead of "Speaker". This gives an impression that the call has already been transferred to speaker from the ear piece. But I don’t hear anything on speaker too. Once this happens, the only solution(I know) is to switch it off, remove and insert battery, switch it on. I still couldn’t figure out the reason for this or identify when it happens. I still have not contacted the customer support(too hectic schedule man.). Hope they will come out with some solution.

Other than this problem, I’m completely satisfied with this mobile. I will surely recommend this to anyone.
