I own a sony ericsson S500i since aug 07. Working fine. Off late in last couple of week, its screen started turning black from bottom, upwards. I contacted the local authorised service center. They say that there had been excessive pressure on screen due to my habit of keeping it in trousers front pocket. And that amount to physical damage i.e. not covered under warranty.
As I understand, physical damage means that the screen has been broken or the set has broken due to fall or something. Even no scratch on the screen and the physical damage defination doesnt seem relevant to me.
Now to me, it seem absurd that by keeping the mobile in pocket will exert such a pressure on screen that its display will turn black. And if the screen of S500i has been manufactured so delicate than its of no use for persons who are active and busy all the time.
Manufacturers shall notice that point and address the issue.
In continuation with that now the audio has gone blurred and fittings loose. Lying with local service dealer since 1st march for want of spares. God forbid, Noones sony ericsson cellphone should go to service center. Rubbish service after sales os Sony Ericsson.
