With Love ... From Sony

Hi guys I’m back again...to a rescue you from the perplexing mobile hype...

MOBILE.... where does it really have its origin ? okay read this...

The basic concept of cellular phones began in 1947, when researchers looked at crude mobile (car) phones and realized that by using small cells (range of service area) with frequency reuse they could increase the traffic capacity of mobile phones substantially. However at that time, the technology to do so was nonexistent.

Inventors: Martin Cooper, Richard W. Dronsuth, ; Albert J. Mikulski, Charles N. Lynk Jr., James J. Mikulski, John F. Mitchell, Roy A. Richardson, John H. Sangster

Dr Martin Cooper, a former general manager for the systems division at Motorola, is considered the inventor of the first modern portable handset. Cooper made the first call on a portable cell phone in April 3rd 1973. He made the call to his rival, Joel Engel, Bell Labs head of research. Bell Laboratories introduced the idea of cellular communications in 1947 with the police car technology. However, Motorola was the first to incorporate the technology into portable device that was designed for outside of a automobile use.

A number of mobile set manufacturing companies grew up since then out of which Ericsson was one of the pioneers, Ericsson went out for a joint venture with Sony (A Technologically Marvel Company...) to build up Sony Ericsson...

The T100 when launched was priced above 10K and day by day with time prices of mobiles went down and so did T100 today (if it is available !!!) can be easily purchased at a filthy 3.5K (the T100 has been replaced by T105 with almost same features just different look wise).

The T100 is a pretty phone with blue display, green service light and orange keypad... the combi of colors looks great (available in three colors : Cool Blue, Fresh White and Gold) The phone has a rubber grip on either side to have a better grip... it gas a Jog Dial which is very Efficient and a great feature that every mobile must have.

The Jog Dial is of Intelligent Type... meaning, when you want to search for numbers in phone book, scrolling the jog will result in displaying the phone book entries... while you are speaking, scrolling will result in increasing and decreasing the speaker volume... and so on... meaning that the jog will behave differently for different menus... GREAT IS’NT IT...

OKAY THEN A BIT OF TECHNICAL SPECS...

Overall a good phone with good network capabilities...

In some of the reviews i’ve seen people writing about the cumbersome keys positioning, but belive me you won’t feel that at all, after all had it been in that way it would have first come into the minds SONY people...

And the keys are not at all hard to press actually the key pad consists of an aluminium like sheet placed below the top-pad this aluminium sheet has dents which moves to and fro when pressed, just because it is Aluminium like it is a bit hard to press but in turn you will be having a highly durable key pad that will last long. Other mobiles have rubber sheets which feels like feather but in long run has a lot of wear and tear...

After all it is being manufactured by SONY !!!
