Great phone

I recently purchased this phone as an upgrade from my Sony Ericsson T100. I’m pleased to report that my money wasn’t wasted. :)

Support for the phone is incredibly good; you should go to sites such as https://esato.com and (wap.esato.com - via your cellphone if you have enabled GPRS/WAP)

Voice clarity is extremely good and the area switching capability is on par (and even surpasses) some of the costlier phones. The phone is able to remain connected even when being used from within a local train over an extended period of time. This may seem silly, but regular train commuters in Bombay will know exactly what I mean.

I personally found the sound emitted from the ringer to be a bit ’tinny’ at the highest volume, but none of my friends thought it to be tinny. This is probably due to me being an audiophile :)

The buttons may prove to be a bit tough to press in the beginning, but one soon gets used to it! Also, people with longer nails may find that pressing buttons is a tad difficult due to the size of the phone! (you have been warned!)

The phone is light, and easily fits within your pocket.

Sony Ericsson has a bunch of cool tools on their web site for this phone. The current crop of software allows you to compose ringtones, edit wallpapers, create wallpapers, create MMS themes etc. Spend extra on a data cable and you can even download the aforementioned software to your PC and then send stuff directly to the phone. :)

I personally found the blade grey colour to be extremely appealing, but tastes do vary.

This is a phone that must be shortlisted if you happen to be on the lookout for a colour phone in the 7k range!
