I have been using the sony ericsson T310 is for about 8 months now and must confess that I fell for its killer looks and I still swear by the fact that many months later the T310 is still one of the cuter phones in the market today. The features I liked when I decided to buy were the color screen at the prices those days-Very few phones offered me these choices then.I also fell for the Polyphonic ringtones and the display. Now there are a lot of cellphones with better displays and more melodious ringtones.Sonys Website which is supposedly an online resource for all things and sundry like picture messages, ringtones and Games is incidentally a dampener as almost all of these are service provider dependent.Though the T310 is equipped to support all this , A GPRS connection with most cell operators is still a costly affair in India. Not to mention the accessories which are multiples times costlier than their chinese counterparts for the T310 which are available everywhere.
A lot of issues withe T310 in terms of reliability and connectivity. The Nokia is any day a better bet for ones money in terms of ruggedness and connectivity and supposedly battery life, Though I must admit that my T310s battery is still as efficient as ever. However there is a lot of problem with the time display. In my case the time often gets reset to some erratic date and the dealers werent of much help in this matter.A friend of mine had a an even peculiar problem..The T310 s display got inverted after it fell on a carpeted floor in the office !!! I would here like to mention my previous cell phone-The Philips Genie which had many falls and drops but functioned as if nothing happened at all...Guess Philips really makes things better !
Hope Sony will revamp its models and also price it contemporarily so that it really gives Nokia some sort of a scare.
