Its truly a masterpiece!

I bought this phone in October, 2003. It costed me Rs. 16, 500; after barganing heavily, the way only Delhiites can do! :-)

When I went to the shop, I had made up my mind (after a lot of research) on buying Nokia 7250. But there the dealer showed me Sony Ericsson T610, and believe me, I fell in love with this phone! :-)

All the promos done by Sony Ericsson do no justice to this phone. There’s no way you can capture the real beauty of this phone on screen. It looks far too sexier in person than on TV n Mags!

Anywayz, now coming onto the features: It has a builtin cam, 510 entry add book, MMS/GPRS capability, and also a Music Composer and Paint Brush software! The total memory size is 4MB, of which 2MB is available to the user. I felt that was a constraint before I got the IR Port for my comp.

The audio quality is exceptionally good. Even on the busiest streets, you can hear the other person loud n clear.

The Music Composer works like this: There a few builtin snippets of music, you can attach them in the way u want and create your own tunes, which can then bet set as ringtones. Also, you can record your own sounds and assign them as ringtones.

There’s also a facility to copy phone numbers from/to the sim card.

Unlike Nokia, where long sms means only 360 (not sure) characters, in this there’s no such limit. You can just carry on writing a huge story if you want to! You can store a max of 75 SMSs on the phone. That could have been more...

If u have GPRS, you can download games, themes, ringtones, pics etc from the sony ericsson website.

The photo quality of the camera is good. But not excellant. Its the same as what you get in most other phones, like Nokia 7250, 3650 etc. So, I guess thats the best you can expect from camers phones.

And ofcourse, it is IR and Blue-tooth enabled. I got the IR Port for 650 bucks and now regularly use it to transfer pics and ringtones. Havnt tried the blue-tooth tho’.

The only thing missing in this phone is a strong reminder feature. I had a Siemens C45 earlier and it had a very good reminder feature in it. And I used to use it very often. :-(

The other things I would have liked to have in this phone are FM and Speaker phone.

The service quiality is also very good. The phone had developed a slight problem in the screen. So I gave it for repair. It seems they couldnt fix the problem, so they gave me a new one instead. Worked well for me, as original one had gotten a lot of scratches. :-D.
