Sony and Ericsson amalgamation= COOOOOOOOOOOOOOL !

Title : Coooooooooooooolll !!!!!!

Review : Hi all! I have been using mobile phones since a very long time and this is my 8th phone. I have been using the: Nokia 3210 Sony CMD-J5 Samsung R220 Panasonic-GD68 Sony Ericsson-T100 Nokia-6510 Nokia-6610 and now, Sony Ericsson-T68i What can I say folks. I gave up my beautiful Nokia 6610 for the SE T68i and I have never been happier.

I did a lot of research on the net and I decided to go for it. Im happy I did. Some of you may think that the Nokia 6610 has a 4096 color display and switching to the T68i’s 256 colors is a downgrade. But look at the features you get. T68i’s totally future ready with a horde of options too. I just can’t get enough of this phone. I have never seen customisability to this extent. The themes are really good and you can download about a hundred more from the net for free(go to https://esato.com). Battery life is unbelievable. I have a personal record of having a standby time of a FULL WEEK with the T68i. This is fantastic. The exterior looks real classy, cute and funky. It doesn’t matter where you go with the T68i. Whether you are a CEO, a college student or a DJ, the T68i blends in perfectly with any environment. Its styled like that. Real neat work Sony Ericsson.

The joystick is a real ’JOY’ to use. You have the whole menu of th phone in one screen and you can go directly where you want. In the Nokia, there was too much of scrolling and the 6610’s CPU was pretty slow at it too. T68i is very user friendly. Now for the display. no. od colors is 256 as compared to the 6610 but I never found much of a difference in the clarity of the pictures. The background images preinstalled on the T68i are also neat. the ringtones are nothing very special and this is perhaps where Nokia is better as they have Poyphonic ones. But hey...the ringtone is for attending the call..not to sit and listen to, so no problems for me.

T68i scores really heavily on the contacts department with a mammoth storage capacity of upto 500 contacts which is really commendable. T68i also supports infra red send and receive which means that you can send or receive data from phone to phone directly via infra red just by placing the ports of the 2 phones side by side. This is really good. In my previous 6610 I had to send all the data through the PC’s infra red port as the 6610 doesn’t support direct infra red send and receive. Perhaps the best feature of the T68i is its Bluetooth capability. For those of you who have heard of bluetooth but don’t know what it is, Bluetooth wireless technology makes it possible for you to connect your phone wirelessly to other bluetooth devices such as a handsfree, PC or other phones. Yu can, for example, have a conversation via a cordless Bluetooth handsfree or browse the internet, wirelessly connected via a mobile phone. I bought the HBH-30 bluetooth headset and COOL! is the only word to describe it. Its so convenient. You can receive calls on the headset without any wires. It has a volume up/down button on it too and the phone can be placed anywhere else at a distance of about 10 metres away from the headset. This is particularly useful while driving since the hassles of wires is eliminated.

Finally, I give 10 out of 10 to the Sony Ericsson T68i. It is a very good phone with state of the art technology and future-ready features and a superb price to match. The Sony Ericsson T68i is also the winner of many Tech Product awards like the Digit award for best value Phone, the CNET electronics Editor’s choice award and I personally like to go with a winner and I hope you would want to too!
