As we all know about the quality of any Sony Ericsson product its also not an exceptional product.
the name itself it the "W" mark truly makes an impression on this phone.the W300i is a Walkman phone.i am using this for about one year and believe me not for a single day I haven’t felt any regret buying this product.i bought it last year on 6th dec at Rs 5900.at that price I could have nokia 5300 xpress music.but after listning both of them (w300i and Nokia 5300) I felt that w300i has much better clarity of sound but the nokia 5300 has a 1.3 MP cam compared to the VGA camera of w300i.but my intentions were clear that I want 2 buy a true music phone so I went for this one.
as per my experience:
SOUND QUALITY :it is a Sony ericsson Walkman series phone and it is one of the best quality.it has built inwalkman playr. in the equilizer "MEGABASS" option is rocking.it comes with a earplug(not the traditional earphones) which goes deeper in ears and does’nt makes any discomfort while listning to music hours after hour.
BATTERY:it has a good battery life.without listening to music it can be used for almost 3 days after a full charge.it so it can be said that it has a decent battery life.
SIGNAL RECEPTION:in this part this phone lags a little bit as compared to nokia.but still managable.
PERFORMANCE:its a java phone so its fast.it supports storage upto 2GB(M2) but I would advise not to use more than 1gb as it will decrese performance.with a 1gb card its quite fast and doesnt hangs.
CAMERA:the worst part of this phone is the camera.according to me w300i has the worst camera compared to any phone of its range.even in a bright sunlight it cannot capture a noise free image.
in its specification it is written that w300i has a" VGA camera interpoled to a 1.3MegaPixel camera".it is actualy a VGA camera.a VGA camera can capture an image at 640 * 480 resolution.in camera settings there is a option "extended" here the camera captures the image at 640 *480 pixel and then automatically extends to its resolution to 1280 * 960 which is the resolutiuon of a 1.3 MP camera, it does’nt enhances the picture it just provides a big image size without clearity.
DESIGN:as per the design of W300i it is a flap set(calmshell).its nice and sporty.it has two colours one is white and another is black.I own the black one.its very stylish.the orange external display makes it even more stylish.
CONCLUSION:.at the last it is clear that it is a cute looking music phone.its very good at its budget. So if anyone has a digital camera and he is looking for a music phone this phone suits the best. Don’t expect anything from its camera its dull.a good phone with useful features and awesome quality from sony ericsson.
