I’m using this cell phone since one and a half years now and I dont find any phone that can replace this gem of an instrument. The camera at 1.3mp is decent. and the 256 MB storage space is fine. However, the memory cannot be extendable. Apart from this, there is no problem with the piece.
Let me tell you a very important feature available on this walkman set. The headset cor comes with an extension which can take any normal speakerphone cord. So one can actually attach big speakers to this phone. So you can carry this phone with about 50 songs anywhere and attach it as a music system. That makes it very useful.
At one point of time I was thinking of upgrading my phone to a Sony Ericsson K750 Cybershot for its camera features. But then I realised that just for the camera features, which is not bad on the w550i, I would lose the wonderful walkman headset.
The battery life is excellent. I’ve lost my charger, but I recharge it thru my computer, using the USB cord. I do it once in 2-3 days. It can even last for 5 Days without recharge.
So guys, its a real value for money and a deadly set with Three speakers. excellent sound quality. I’ve used the speakerphone many times in my car wen I dont hv any good music in the car stereo. This PHONE IS LOUD! A thumbs up to this model..
