I bought this phone 2 months ago for Rs.10, 200 . a Boulevard Black one.First when I took it in my hand, I immediately took decision to go for this one coz of its killing looks.But eventhough there are some cons too.
I loved the looks of this phone, whenever I remove this phone in public places. it immediately catches attention of everyone.I will categorise it in some points:
Display - 580i’s having the best display in its class! Simply D Best. the screen size is 240 x 320 pixels loaded with 262, 144 colours. but for me it’s like 16M colors!
Size & weight - the measurements are 99 x 47 x 14 mm & its weighting 94 gms. it’s very slim & lightweight compared to my old n-gage QD!
Memory - Will come with box-packed memory of 1GB M2 card. which is more than enough for me.Also u’ll get phone memory of 12mb(but actual memory will vary due to phone’s preloaded softwares)
Camera- Ther’s an inbuilt 2MP camera.But I dont find it as worth.U’ll get very low quality pics & vids from this camera compared to k750 or w800i.
Music - Yeah! the real department comes here! The Walkman player is SIMPLY BRILLIANT! But I suggest to hear music from standard earphones provided my SE which is HPM-70(i think so).Ther’s also 3.5mm jack on headphone. so if u have any other cooler headphone, then u can insert it.Hearing music from speaker is not a good idea eventhough the speaker is powerful.It’s also compatible with MP3, AAC, AAC+, eAAC+ and WMA file formats.The equalizer offers a Mega Bass function and manual settings too.It also has three color skins:black, gray and orange.Or u can even listen from stereo bluetooth. thanks to its A2DP feature.
Shake Feature - To load next song u have to shake it rightwards. But it’s simply useless as we can change the song from right nav key or no.6 key.Sometimes shaking can give chance of slipping the phone from ur hand. so watch out!
Keypad - The keypad is of low quality. so this phone is definately not for those users who always type sms or try to figit with keypad.
Radio - It will search automatically and store up to 20 radio stations in you area. The FM radio is only operable with the hands-free connected.
Games - It will come with 2 pre-installed games Lumines Block Challenge & Sims 2.I never played these games so wont be able to give u more information on this!
Battery - Im not a regular music listener. Then also it gives me backup for 2 1/2 days. sometimes 3 days. it depends upon ur calling.But overall a satisfying battery backup.
Pedometer - It’s also loaded with Fitness applications such as running walking etc. But I find it as a useless option.
So, here’s my review with my 2 months experience with this beauty. But, I would still not recommend this phone for rough users, coz it’s a delicate phone. If u are a decent user, then I would reccomend it as 100% coz it’s simply cooool.
