I purchased my new "sonyericson W580i"(black & orange combination) last week
from "the mobile store" for 12, 300(INR).
I Attractive features:
1) extremely stylish, very light & thin, can easily slip in ur pocket, without creating that bump.
2) dedicated walkman key allows u to access music tracks quickly.
3) "track now" function helps u to know the complete details(viz. track, album, singer name) of an
unknown track(u can either record any music / it works in FM too)
4)fitness pedometer
5)excellent music quality, the inbuilt speakers are good.
6) plastic surface, due to which no surface paint will come out, after scratching
7)headphones(have assymetric cords) are good & easily fits in to ears.
8)the slider is very smooth in opening & closing.
9)disc to phone application is cool, helps u too rip CD track on ur phone hassle free
II disadvantages:
1)camera, even though it is 2 MP, is pathetic, there is no flash provision, the picture becomes
blurred even on slight shake, camera has four modes of shooting., the night mode is useless.
2) the battery life is not very gr8(listened to music for 2 hrs+ talked on phone for 1 hr+ net surfing
for 1/2 hr+ kept it idle for 2 hrs= battery discharged), onsite they claim the battery life to be bit
longer
3)provision of single slot(for charging, PC connection, hands free)
4)comes with internal memory of 12MB, I got 1GB memory card free, but that can upgrade to only
2GB, so less overall space.
5)shake & change application is useless, few of my friends almost threw it while trying it,
itis for only ostentatious display, normally u would like to change the track manually.
6)price is high, with only few thousand more, in few months u can afford i-phone.
CRUX:- stylish, expensive, light, gud for music lovers, bad camera, ok battery- phone
note: never ever think of purchasing it from the newly started"the mobile store" chain, they overcharge a lot, (i paid 900(INR) more, subhiksha was giving it for 11500(INR), but they didn’t had the stock then, & I needed it urgently, also I got duped in their guaranteed(5000(INR)gift, which invariably alwayz come out to be free hotel stay, to avail u’ll again have to shell out some 700(INR) per head more.
