I was using Sony K300i earlier, within a year the joystick got damaged. Had plenty of problems due to this. But I liked the features available in it for the price I had paid as when I had purchased the mobile was discontinued . I was angry about Sony’s product quality, the whole phone was good except the joystick. So started hunting for a new mobile, this time increased my budget to 10K, went to Tata Chroma outlet in Bangalore. First I researched about Nokia mobiles, N73 above 10k, and is very common. When I started looking through the Sony series, I saw this beauty. I think, the gold border along with black panel just looked attractive. I couldn’t find much reviews about this phone on the internet forums, as this did not sell much due to its high price. The first thing I made sure was the joystick. Its not like K300i. Then I looked at the specifications. It was good for a sub 10K phone and I decided to buy it
No problem till now with the Keypad or the joystick after 6 months of usage.
Features I liked:
3G(for future, so no need to change the phone when 3G arrives)
Good Battery life, normally it lasts for 2 days( nearly 60 mins call duration+ 30 minutes music through speakers daily)
Keypad light changes to orange when it is in walkman mode.
512 MB along with the phone
Display is clear under sunny conditions( subject to the theme used)
Features I missed:
No Autofocus, Flash -Camera is average.
Finger marks comes on the panel, so have to wiped with cloth regularly, panel prone to scrathes.
Location of speaker behind the phone. So the phone has to be kept upside down when the music is played through speakers
only 16 MB shared memory - could have been more
K530 has similar features as W660i, It is cheaper than W660i, But lookwise W660i beats it.
