Sing Along.....

A long time ago the land of Cellular Devices was ruled by Nokia - it had its ultimate warriors fighting to keep all other devices down. People were so mezmerized by this that they did not even bother to look elsewhere.

Then one day all of a sudden there was a BIG impact, The Sony Ericsson W800i, that shattered the monopoly of the Nokia regim, it’s weapons were so sharp that none of Nokia’s warriors could compete against it.

It was a perfect device loaded with - Bluetooth, MP3/AAC player, Video player, WAP 2.0, Java, T9, FM radio with RDS, Image viewer, Picture editor, Organiser, Voice memo, USB port, SyncML, Built-in handsfree etc.......

Shining in its white and orange armour it rose to the sight of masses, then they realized there is a world beyond Nokia - that is much beautiful and heavenly.

Story time is over now lets get back to business.

Sony was longing to break this Nokia myth for a long long time, but I still kept wondering what held it back for such a long time, I mean for Pete’s Sake you guys are the ’’Electronic Geniuses’’, anyways let me tell you about this Warrior in brief

Review :

This phone is sleek in terms of the goodies its packed with, keypad is clean and visible in low-lighted area’s, joystick had a rubber cap for better grip, the screen lights up like shining stars in the pitch black sky, with an bright orange background - clear as a train on your face.

The lense on the back reminds you of old sony cameras, it also has 2 flash lights on the top of the lense which give you crystal clear images in dark (No other phone can do that).

The screen of the phone is quite ready to get your finger prints all over it (just like T-610), the menu on the phone is quite similar to old SE models but its well animated and its fast too, not like other models (Nokia, Samsung, Motorola etc...) which take time to move around in menu’s that have higher graphics.

At the bottom of the phone you see the System connector Fast Port, on the middle left hand side you will see camera shutter release button, on the top left hand side we see the Volume control button, and on the top we have the main switch-off button.

Top right we have the Play/pause button, and at the bottom right hand side we have a nice rubber cover which comes out, thats where you insert your memory card.

the battery is located on the bottom backside of the phone, and below the batter we have the option of inserting our simcard.

The camera is Excellent and trust me when I say Excellent, the images taken are so clear and crisp that it compares to professional digital cameras output. Images can be taken in three different resolution schemes: 160 × 120, 640 × 480 and 1632 × 1224 pixels. They are saved in JPEG format. The camera is also able to shoot video with sound in a 176 × 144 resolution and 3GP format. It has an 4x Zoom, and as mentioned earlier above its an 2 Mega Pixel Camera.

Now to my favorite part about this phone The Sony Walkman, thank God for Sony there is a way now I can enjoy the music I love with the convenience of even getting in touch with my loved one’s, and stay away from unwanted calls, yeah thats possible in this Sony Ericsson Phone, cause when you start the phone it gives you 2 options whether it is only the walkman you are going to use, or the entire phone. If you choose walkman then you can enjoy 30 Hours of pure music playback, in where I can also access my phonebook, gallery, and other stuff.

The earphones proved and 1st class top quality exclusively for music playback, detachable in 2 parts, the first part which connects to the phones Fast Connector Port and at the other end is a classic 3.5 mm jack in which you can plugin you own headphones - if you want to preserve the ones that you got with you W800i. The earphones are equipped with soft rubber extensions, which you can insert deep into your ears. The resulting reproduction is first-rate. Bass elements are perfect. There are rubber extensions of three different sizes in the box.

If you ever get bored by the music on your phone (I would never be), you have an alternate option The Radio, you can save upto 20 stations.

Games provided are under the Fun Section, Fun section offers two java games. The first one is called PuzzleSlider. It breaks down a selected picture, or even a photo, into 9 to 36 squares, which you then have to then put together. The second game is QuadraPop. It is a standard Tetris, featuring colorful notes.
