Sony Ericsson W810i
First let me explain why I am writing this, didn’t see any good reviews on W810i. I have to be frank and say that I have not owned any of the Sony Ericsson phones till now. Previous ones were Nokia and Motorola. I definitely know why I change every time I buy a new one. Nokia gave good life.
Motorola didn’t take long to take a back seat. Then I was searching for a new one. One of my friend got Sony Ericsson 750i. Saw the camera quality. It was amazing for the size of the phone. Then I thought I will go for it. Then came the Walkman, I listen to music or some audio books when I am traveling to work and back to home in the evening. Music quality for SE W810i was great and I liked it immediately. So, I bought it immediately I say it.
Basically I wanted a camera and walk man and phone in one equipment. Now I am have it.
I bought an I pod 60 GB, But cant carry I pod + Phone every day to work along with me. So, My I pod stay at home with my wife.
Phone wise I think its very very simple , its just that I hate some things in W810i phone book or contact list. You cant list both phone number list in phone memory and phone number list in sim card together. You have to go into some options and then find the Sim card list. They could have listed both the number in same list or chose contact list from memory or from sim card. If you guys are traveling then you will see the importance of it.
Apart from this , its been 3 months now and I am enjoying my w810i very proudly worth the money I spent on it.
Camera picture is attached with this review and I will say its amazing when you are traveling along and you want to capture something which you want your close one to see. Its really nice. 2 mega pixel with auto focus.
I have to admit that I am not using the fully functionality of the phone, EDGE and email and internet browsing. So, I cant comment on the speed of the internet surfing and email downloading, of course it depends on the service provider also. But will add on to it once I start using it.
I really liked on more thing in W810i was Flight mode. Usually if you are traveling on site work or for fun or vacation(i have my own definition for fun and vacation so I didn’t write it separately) by air. They you have to switch of your phone during the full journey time. So, here it is.. the new innovation which inactivates the radio transmitters and receivers so that you can use some functions while in air. Great isn’t it !!!!
Oh yeah ! One more thing. I used speaker for playing music. Its very good. But the quality of the speaker while speaking on phone was very bad.I don’t know this was one time I tried while I was on an International call. But it might be the line rather than the speaker phone. But I had to sincerely mention it to my friends.
Memory., Yes, I want to speak about it. What fun if you have have to roam with 60 GB I pod every day and listen to just Mb of the data. So, I prefer spending 2 mins to change the contents, like update new songs or audio books every week or 3 days once. Than carry a I pod + phone every day. So its convenient ! for me !!! :). Memory of W810 I is extendable to 2 GB. I think thats enough for me for 1 months songs and audio books to store and hear.
Battery is great and screen is fantastic. I love the picture of my wife on the screen. Beautiful !! Both wife and phone ! I love both ! Yeah, she was there when I bought it. Guys, she hates me when I start ambling around the electronics section of the shop. But when it came for choosing w810 I , she was with me. A int I lucky. ! both with phone and wife. Lets go back to SE w810 i.

One thing I have seen, most of us will be happy to say the good features of our phone, just because of the money we spend on it. But, feel free to express the bad features also.

Yes ! I am editing the Review again , I had to add one more thing. USB Cable and phone connection is very bad. I have installed all the PC suite software they gve with the phone. But when I connect to my phone to copy mp3’s. Every song or file I copy I am facing problems. The memory inside 512mb, which I currently have doesnt behave like memory card at all. It takes ages in USB cable to copy files. If anyone has solved this problem with some fixes, please letme know.
