Value for Money

Hi,

I have always been a Symbian fan (and will always be!) But the amazing range of phones released by sony never ceases to amaze me!

The first thing interesting about this phone is it’s design! I call it my Black Beauty. And when it’s price dropped to 16k-17k (thanks to the release of the k790), I immediately grabbed it.

This phone has everything!

Pros:

#   2Mega Pixel Camera (with autofocus :- This is very important, compare it’s pics with N70/6270, you’ll know)

#   Stereo Mp3 player (there’s a downpoint here, the sound cracks at max volume (with MegaBass setting) when playing a high beat song, but it’s pardonable I suppose)

#   Bluetooth 2.0 : Why is 2.0 so important? Try comparing transfering a file from a nokia phone to another and the same betn sony mobiles, you’ll see the difference

#   USB Cord & Software : Extremely easy connectivity with PC. Plus with freeware software such as MyPhoneExplorer and others, you don’t need to switch off the phone while connecting, transfering files through these software is a breeze!

#   512Mb Card : Sony should provide it with options; one should get an option of higher memory too, say 1GB at 1k-2k extra. Sometime I feel 512 is less

#   Immense number of themes and games available on the net: Unlike symbian, where the 3rd party applications are not for free, all these themes and games are for free.

#   Output jack for other earphones : For a music fad like me, I would definitely like to connect my mobile as a mp3 player to other head phones/loud speakers. Of course, the ear phones are too good :)

#   Better screen: No desc required, compare the screen with any other Sony/nokia mobile

Cons:

Some of the cons I have already mentioned in the pros.

#   No remote. When the name suggests Walkman, there should be a option to pause/play the songs without touching the phone, this is quite helpful when you are travelling. Considering the fact that there is the remote option for picking/ending calls on the earphone, it shouldn’t be really tough to extend the same for the mp3 player right?

#   Relatively smaller screen:   The best thing about Nokia 6270 is it’s screen. This mobile could have had a bigger screen. But no big deal on this.

At the current price, it’s a steal!

Go get your black beauty!
