I bought this phone just a month back , as was really fed up of my Nokia N70, n series I really slow , basically who Nseries operates on symbian , Symbian os is itself slow , phone often hangs , then one has to open the battery as during hanging phone even dont switch off. I’m pretty happy with my sony ericsson w810i .
Things I **liked:
Small size az compared to N series
*The screen is small as compared to nokia N series, but that is not a limitation .
The sound quality is superb with earphones provided , N series phones stand no where in sound with earphones. A pair of external speakers provided
Camera quality is superb
Never hangs , even if u use 2 gb card , phone is still very responsive.
Few things I disliked are :
Stores only 150 messages
External speaker is not lound , but thanks to SE for providing a pair of detachable external speakers, that r too loud.
While we r talkin on phone , , its display light remains on all the time , I found a simple solution to this by opening the inbox message during call then light turns off and saves battery life
The software sony ericsson gave is not up to the mark , it has some installation probs , I tried on other computers also , and shown to other professionals , but installation is a prob.
*CONCLUSION
This all in all a nice phone , as compared to N70 AND N73 its better . as this is a walkman phone , tne N series doesn’t match its sound quality , camera is much better than N70 , its small and fits in easily , The call register is not up to the mark , no long lists can be saved as in nokia . And it stores only around 150 messages , nokia can store as many as u can.
But for a normal user even for some hi fi user this phone is a better option than N series .
