Its been 2 years since I bought W850i, Now I regret for buying this product from sony ericsson. I spent nearly S$700 but it is an unworthy product for such a high price.
The sliding model is always disadvantageous. Even after taking care of the phone properly, the data bus between sliding parts got damaged and now I am unable to see anything on my screen. Since my warranty period is over, now I have to send another S$50 to repair the phone.
Now I stay in India, which is another disadvantage for me. When I enquired in a private service centre, they asked me to pay INR 500 to repair the phone. But when I enquired with the authorised service centre, they are asking me INR 1000. double that of a private fellow. Actually the authorised people should be able to service the product better and cheaper but it is always a contrast with sony. It goes the other way. now i am confused whether to repair it with private fellow or the authorised fellow. Any way my sincere advice to all you people is to think twice before you buy this product or any other product from sony.
