My wife has been using x10 mini pro for more than 3 months now. But we are not satisfied with the user interface of the phone.
The good things about the phones are: 1. Small size, 2. querty keypad. Fortunately, the phone has not hung anytime so far. But that’s it. I’ve nokia c6-01 with symbian 3. Whereas, x10 has Android. I must say that we don’t have good experience. The interface is missing silly little things. Few examples are:
There is no way to delete all contacts at one shot! You need to search & download some app from droind market.
The notification for reminders & SMS reception is same. Generally, you can set separate tones for these 2. But this phone simply doesn’t support. If you look at the user guide page 32(or 33), it mentions steps to setup different tone for messages. But such setting is not present. When I inquired in sony ericson customer support through mail, I didn’t get reply even though I got a ticket number. I then called up the support & they told that this is not possible.
The PC app is worse than Nokia’s OVI suite. You can’t sync different items in separate folders!
The home screen is not much configurable. Compare this to Nokia. It is very flexible.
I don’t have any experience of iPhone so cant compare. But I’m really impressed with Nokia’s symbian 3 as opposed to Android. In Android, you need to go to market for every small thing. This is really time consuming.
Sony is supposed to have a better camera. But again, I didn’t find it much different than nokia c6-01.
I won’t recommend this phone.
