I had been using my beloved nokia 3310 from the year 2003 until sunday, 6th may 2007 when it was stolen . So much time I spent with that phone, I was indeed very sorrow and I intended to buy the same phone again . I went to the shop only to discover nokia 3310 is no more available .
I researched a lot of phone feature in the net and after everything on wednesday I bought SE w710i .It has some unique extra feature thats why I bought this one
first of all w710i is a very good looking phone, u can hardly resist it . It is basically a flap phone .
As a basic phone: its sound is clear and ringtones can be audible in crowded places like railway station too . You need not speak louder to become audible . as this is a walkman phone, what more I can tell you about its sound? u all know it .
Well some SE phones have problems in key pressing and sms issue like in w300i but no such problem in w710i .
As a walkman:512 mb M2 memory is included expandible upto 2 gb, and I will NOT write anything about its sound because how one can express how good a sound is in words?
- an excellent new feature : w710i have a software inbuilt called TrackID, just record a few seconds of a song and with one click send that clip to Gracenote music database, which will identify the songname and send all the info to the phone .here’s also a quirky Music Mate application that shows the correct
finger position for various guitar chords and piano chords while
playing the notes. You can even use the phone as a metronome
for music Disc2phone software is good and easy to use . .hoever I feel trasfer via bluetooth is much easier .
As a camera: camera is good especially the movie camera, as I ahave a CANON camera already I found camera feature is not that much good basically it has got 2 megapixel camera but no optical zoom . but video feature is good even at night . surprisingly the camera dont have any flash thats why I feel the still camera feature is not upto the mark .
Another extra feature: I am very health cautious, I do some morning jogging, I go to dance class and I am very selective about my food . And because of that this phone have those features for what I bought this phone .
Firstly it has got a calorie counter . Previously I also do keep traking my calorie but in pencil & paper . Now this phone takes me in a new faster and digital way . I did this with the help of some website and now I do it while on the move .that too free because of tis inbuilt feature of the phone . And its very handy feature at least for me . I will suggest that calorie cautious people should use this, but its not that much useful who want this just to play .
Now another great feature which is doing a WONDERFUL job for me is the motion sensor and a new fitness application that measures running/ moving speed and counts steps while I am dancing /walking/jogging .If you want to keep track how much you have run / jogged everyday then this is a good device for that . Like I counted on thursday I ran 6346 steps, even now I know from my room my busstop is 2180 steps and lastday while dancing I made at about 8000 steps . nice! isnt it?
the conter for this gets reset at midnight but if u wish u can save the data .
while jogging I listen to walkman feature which can be controlled without opening the phone .
Sports armband is there because while jogging where u want to keep it so tjhat it shouldnt fell .
the FM radio is good but I dont listen fm much.I like to use the walkman feature .
while it s a little bit bulky(88mm+ 48 mm+ 25 mm) it’s
easily portable, it has a solid construction, and it feels comfortable
when held to the face for talking.

The W710’s interior display measures 2 inches(176x220 pixels) and shows 262, 144 colors.
Memorywise It can remember 1250 contact addresses,
another advantage is its a quadband phone which means if I go to another contry tomorrow( except japan/korea) it will work . in japan korea no GSM phone will work .
colors: you have 2 choices .graphaite and violet . I have the violet one .
Surrounding the external display are dedicated Walkman buttons that give you full use of the player when the phone is closed.
You can personalize the W810i with a variety of themes, wallpaper, and
screensavers.
the phone comes with a MusicDJ application for composing your own ring
tones. Gamers can enjoy three Java(J2ME) titles, Alpha Wing 2, Tennis
Multiplay and Treasure Towers, with additional titles available for
purchase but I feel very few will use that .
However what I didnt liked in this phone is >>
- still camera not so good
2.headphone should have been better.ok I shouldnt compare with a bose headphone which is Rs 5600
I bought it from phone-feature price is Rs 10.3k .and I have hutch connection .
