Nature of Complaint: My Sony Service Job Sheet’s Job No. is J40819769 Dated: 22-04-2014
I registered a complaint for my SONY TV Model No. KLV-32S310A.
This TV was purchased in March 2007. The service guy told us that this will be repaired in the service center and a part is not working. They took our TV and our approval for Rs.11, 600/- for replacement of a part. When we asked how much time it will take, then they said it will be done in next 7 days.
After 9 days, I received a call from them and they said that part is not available. So the TV cannot be repaired. I wonder what business plan SONY has when they are unable to repair a TV that was purchased 7 years ago. The guy(Mr.Sanjiv or Rajiv) offered me 25% discount on any new SONY TV that I would like to purchase. This makes me realize that once you buy SONY product, then you are always tagged to them. They will mint money out of your skin by not providing after sales support.
I told them that I need to think on it. I made my mind that I will never going to buy any SONY product in future. From that day, that is May 1st, 2014 to till date May 10th, 2014, I am trying to call the service center number which was printed on Service Job Sheet. I am unsure of the reason but these guys haven’t picked up my call even once.
I have also called to SONY toll free no. 18001037799 regarding this and they twice assure me that they will arrange a call back. But till now, I have not received a call from them.
I PLEDGE I WILL NEVER PURCHASE A SONY EQUIPMENT IN FUTURE.
