I have , since the introduction of TV in Mumbai, used 4 different brands of TV. To start with, we purchased a brand called JK TV. This was of course BW and very basic. It had Valves and not transistors . However, initially , the excitement of having a TV at home camouflaged all the defects of the idiot box. After many years we went for a Weston colour TV. This was a big change over the BW basic TV. When I came back from one of my assignments in the Gulf, I then brought with me an LG TVCR.
The LG was ( I suspect) made to operate in an airconditioned environment and not a house like mine. It gave perennial trouble.
Finally, a couple of years ago, I decided to go in for a Sony Kirara Basso. I must say, that picture, sound and overall colour combination , this TV beats all other TVs hands down. Sony is Sony and NO BRAND CAN BEAT SONY.
