Sony has always been one of the many leading manufacturers of headphones and headsets. I have always liked using their headsets, due to their clear sound and decent bass and treble.
MDR-G45LP is a very light weight and stylish pair of headsets that are very comfortable to the user’s ears. I particularly liked that the headset had to be worn behind the neck. I have been them for almost 6-7 months now and have got no complaints regarding any issues whatsoever.
Sound Quality-
It provides real smooth and clear sound, the sound quality is good although bass is low as compared to other headphones, but that perfectly suites my taste in music.
I find the low bass and treble as a complimentary factor to its clear sound quality.
Although it does not provide much features like noise cancelation, which sometimes proves to be a major flaw while you are outside and trying to listen to some music. Also due to its already less and clear sound output with reduced bass. Though this can be overlooked.
Durability & Reliability-
In terms of durability this headset takes the cake. I have used many headsets over the years but by far this is the most durable one. I have dropped it, sat on it, stepped on it, slept on it, but that did it no harm it was perfectly fine and working. The reason is its light weight and flexible fibre body.
Similarly it is a reliable peice of accessory as well.
Others-
The headset is a decent accessory overall except if you are a bass lover or prefer loud headphones then these are not for you. Another problem is that your ears ( the pinna part) begin to hurt after prolonged use of this headset, but eventually you get used to it and they no longer hurt.
Overall this is a great accessory to have definitely worth buying.
