I bought this model in 2010 for 24 INR, because I reside overseas I havent used this product much. The first year it had problems & it was sorted out at the Trivandrum branch where I bought this product from.
This Dec it had problems again I took it to the Quilon Madonna service center and to my surprise I never expected sony dealers will deliver such bad & inefficient customer care.
First they said it will cost me 9700 INR to get a new boards installed for a product barely used. I asked for a discount & they rejected so I took the set back to throw it in junk yard. They called me & asked me to take it back with the receipt & I will be offered a discount & so I did.
After three weeks with out any news I called them & they said there is no discount because it is out of manufacturers warranty. Now I completely believe that Sony s products in India are junk & their customer service is corrupt & made me believe that they are useless people sitting to waste your valuable time. Of course they get paid for doing this job.
I am going to write my bad experience in net & explain why people should not spend their hard earned money on junk. I never bothered to call Madona again, they can keep it. Waste of time, thought I should write to take out my frustration.
