Hello people,
well, its been about a year that I have purchased my PS2 and today I decided to write my reviews for this product. The logical question is "Why now...why so late?". I am a gamer friends adn I dont write reviews about a game or a console till I have tested them till the end....
The playstation is one machine that has re-defined gaming for me and for everyone who still remember playing Mario or Duckhunt on those 999999 in 1 consoles :)
The sleek black body encases the power and brute of an excellent gaming console.
The graphics rendering is awesome and the force feedback joystick really make you feel that you have been shot in the head!! The best part of owning a PS2 is the expandability of it. You can attach a plasma screen, a projection screen or even a projector!! I personally tried connecting a projector and a 7.1 sound system (bose) and the effect was AMAZING!! I mean I had a 10 feet x 7 feet screen with sounds that made my neighbours believe that I am having a gunfight in my living room!!!
I was thoroughly impressed by the fact that apart from playing game DVDs, the PS2 can play any format available for movies and music!
The only downsides of the PS2 were 1) Less-than-perfect support from the Sony customer support people 2) High costs of the game titles ranging from 1500/- to 5000/- !!
PS You can get your PS2 fixed with an IC that would enable you to play pirated game titles. However, as an avid gamer I would advice you not to do it becasue it voids the warranty and is basically very unethical.
