I bought PS3 from Flipkart in 2012. I had a great time playing with PS3 for about 10 months. I couldn’t go to Sony service for a few months due to my exams, so my PS3 was out of warranty. After which it started giving reboot trouble. I never over used the machine and used to play with it only on weekends. However, there came a time when the machine started recovery during reboot, which never worked and machine would reboot during recovery in an infinite loop.
When I took the PS3 to Sony service in Bangalore, they mentioned that Sony has no service for PS3 in India and you will have to buy a new one.
I am sure the problem with my PS3 could have easily been resolved by replacing the hard disk which refused to boot. But Sony’s refusal to service the product was just not right. I feel cheated and feel like a fool to buy a product which stops working just after its warranty :-(
