I am using this product from 4 years now, and trust me it is still the latest one, even after PlayStation 4 came out graphics of this product is not at all bad and its still up to the mark, also, after PS4 being out the price of this product and CD cost have actually came down which is the best part, if you are first or second hand buyer this PS3 is just for you.
Its not compulsory that we have to always buy the latest product, even the dual shock console is out of the box along with wire less charger, also I have played FIFA, NFS, Far cry, all are amazing game to play, 5 star from my side
