It was my lifelong dream to play all those arcade games in a handheld gaming console. While some may argue the gameboy has answered some of the problem, it didnt for me, hell I didnt even buy the gameboy !! I wanted colour, graphic equivalent to the tv console games and logic defying combo moves. When the playstation was released I felt the need for the handheld to have atleast that clarity and after years of waiting I had resigned to the thought that it would have to be me who is gonna invest to time and energy to built that little piece of handheld heaven as soon as I grow up!!
( and have the money ofcourse ) . But it seems sony realised the threat and released the PSP much much in advance while I was still in college and boy am I glad they did that!!. The psp is a gem of an invention. The day I first saw it I was blown away. Excellent graphics, sound system and playability and that too the games that are available for PS 2!!! And as if these were not enough sony included wifi, and the ability to play full length movies and music!! The screen must be seen to believe, its so richn in colour and detail putting a few LCD tvs to shame!! . I was in loveand I brought a new console that day itself bunking the class!! The price then was 13000 ( now you get it for 8500 ) but I didnt even think about it. hell I thought I shall practically stop all my other expenses just to own this beauty. I havent regretted that decision till date. The psp has entertained me with numerous games, movies, though I dont use it for music. I had the intial worry whether the buttons can stand the assault I am putting it through by playing with it roughly for 9 hrs a day, but it did and still continues to endure it. I have heard people mumble about the loading time for the games but given the quality of games and graphics it offers I dont mind one bit. I say everyone should own one like in Japan where every kid might not have a mobile phone but you wouldnt catch them dead without a psp. If you have seen the promos of the games to come you would rush to your nearest PSP dealers now. And at its current MRP its a steal!!. Believe me me friends you will never regret having a psp, I have spent hours and hours that now must be cumulatively transformed to days of escape from boredom at functions, waiting for someone, anything in the reception, for your order to arrive in restaurants etc etc. there are no end to the possibilities. God bless sony ( for the psp and for not letting an amatuer like me ruin his good part of life and money trying to develop a handheld game console!!! ) God bless you indeed!!!
