SONY VAIO VGN-CR363/B..........
Sounds kool right?..I bought this laptop around 2 months back...and am quite satisfied with this..
Kool looks, stylish design, easy to use, light weight, sexy 14.1 inch screen, good performance...
A machine to die for...Colored VAIO’s are pretty sweet lookin, but I guess I can overlook the girly looks to get a real thing that helps like the fingerprint reader... and its classy aint it? :=)
So I went for this black model instead...
First the pros..
1) Less noisy.. makes pretty much none so as to say.. very quiet and easy to use..
2) Sleek design, looks very sexy. The coloured models are also available but I preferred to go for the black one coz it had the fingerprint reader in place of the colors as for the colored models Fingerprint reader was not there.
3) Generates very less heat so u can use it for hours .. thats what I do normally and its quite good in that..
4) Good battery back up.. around 2.5-3.5 hours depending on what u are using..
5) I got the 3 GB ram and it is quite fast from my experience till now...iono may be 2gb mite be weary wid vista home premium on..
like mine..anyways im satisfied with performance thou
6) Some pretty cool softwares too come with this one from sony like the Adobe photoshop elements, the fingerprint scanner utility if ure going for the non
coloured one..a weird software for the webcam..
this however is scary as it always comes up for no reason wen I switch d webcam on..
7) The new instant mode is real cool, u can listen to music while the power is switched off..real cool if u wanna listen to songs on a trip or on a
holiday at the farmhouse.. or wateva...
8) Decent port selection with 3 usb ports, a tv out port, a firewire port, a SD card slot(which I havent used yet) and all the other essential ones..
9) I like the lower light that keeps on blinking on different actions..nice whitish blue light jumping on and off, , kinda kool....
10) Being a coder, I do have some very high memory taking applications loaded and it works fine without hanging unlike d one ive got in office..
and is pretty smooth....
Now lets see a few cons.
1) The charger gets real hot after a while..iono if this is a genuine issue or the defect for mine only...but yeah its annoying...
2) The speakers are not the greatest of quality.. on a loudspeaker mode, I can barely hear if the tv or music system is on..
with a pair of earphones though its fantasctic..
3) There is a built in ATI Radeon x-200 graphics card thats not of the greatest quality for high end gaming.. however for a normal gamer
like me with some small games on its quite enjoyable.. iono if its good enough for high end games like half life which screams for
NVIDIA or similar high end cards..this one works for me...
4) I think the body is a little too fragile.. may be not but looks too delicate for the glossy shiny feel of the body..havent dropped it yet though.. :-)
5) Being a 14.1 inch screen many might not like to watch movies on it.. and yes kinda gets pretty crappy if the prints not good.. but still the screen is nice..
and you can watch movies ...i kinda like the compact small screens..

I am not sure about the support Sony gives, coz havent had any chance for it.. but sonys been always praised for good media support...
so should be decent enough...
Pretty good deal actually...
Would have gone for a better graphics card, but I am not a real gamer.. may be a few flash games thats all I do on the computer in Gaming...
Anyways.. I think that’s about it.. to know about this piece...
