I bought this TV in 2002 Dec. The picture quality is beyond compare with any other brand. I had an option of buying a 29’’ from other brand, a non flat version. The price was comparable. But Seeing the picture and the sound quality I bought this. I just enjoy watching the DVDs on this TV. Even with the 2 + 1 speakers it gives a hall like effect. I was once watching a movie on the DVD and it was raining in of the scenes and it felt like it was actually raining outside. I ran out to collect the clothes from line. But it was bright evening!!!.
The colour quality is just very natural.
I liked the Favourite channels setting. One can store upto 6 channels from which you can surf the TV and its easy to add or change the channels.
There are something which is missing but I really don’t miss it much I would still go in for the same TV.
Cons:
The only thing I hate about it is that there is no personal mode for storing the audio and video properties. But I don’t really miss it as I just set it once and remember the values set. So If a kid or some by mistake changes the preset value I just revert to my custom set value.
I would have loved to have the swapping of channels but now I just don’t feel like arranging the channels as our cable company very frequently swaps the channel. So I better remember the channel numbers which I wish to see and thats help full if I goto someone in neighbour and use his TV.
I prefer to have the channel changing mode set to default to two keys. That is If I want to switch to channel 7, I have to press 07. Because most of the time needs to change 2 digit channels. But the favorite channel feature doesn’t bother much.
Over all I am very happy with the product and would cherish this Item for years to come. The next upgrade which I would chose would be a digital TV after this.
