Guys please don’t purchase Sony Xperia mobiles because of the various reasons mentioned below,
They claim that it is a water proof mobile but it is not. Accidentally, I dropped my mobile into an half filled water bucket and picked it out within a second but water went inside the device even with all the ports closed. And if it is before 6 months they will replace the device but if it is more than 6 months then you have to forget your device as no service center is authorized to open and repair the device you just have to throw it away.
The service centers doesn’t respond properly. I called the service center guy and he gave me a reference number and he said the update in the ticket was that the Sony HO has given a 20% discount for me and rest 80% I have to pay to get the replacement. But when I call their customer service and refer the same ticket number they initially say that I had serviced my mobile and paid a charge of 350(which I never did. See the ticket description is entirely different). The customer service guy asked me the exact problem and I told him everything and he transfers the call to his senior called Pradeep. This guy initially said that Sony Xperia ZR is not a water proof phone but it is water resistant phone. I asked him to check the sony website and I read him what was written in the Sony Xperia ZR page and then the drama started. He dint reply for few seconds and later he kept on repeating Sir am I audible?. Sir am I audible?. for at least 10 times and finally he said I have to disconnect the call there is a connection issue. All his works were audible to me and even I was responding, he was acting very smart.
Finally, I went and purchased Samsung mobile as I dint have any extra device.
I then installed an auto call recorder on my Samsung mob and called the service center guy as well as the customer care and recorded their words and I am going to sue them for their mistake.
So please don’t purchase Sony devices
