Before going to Pondicherry I booked the Soorya Beach Resort online. After paying the money I searched for all the reviews and everywhere I found the review to be bad. I got scared since in our group girls wer also there. I literally called the hotel people several times just to make sure everything is fine. Trust me friends I was very very scared thinking that my booking amount will go for a waste.
After I reached Pondi, I wernt to the hotel and there was enough space to park my four wheelers. The reception was pretty cool. I got my room keys and went inside the room. It was spacious and the room was pretty clean. The rooms service guy caame and kept a bottle of mineral water, shampoo, and soap.
We went to the beach which was 3 mins walking distance from the resort and came back by evening and then went to the resort Pool. The view from the pool was good since we were able to see the sea from the pool.
Later at the night we went out for dinner.but in the hotel there were offering dinner buffet. Came back home, turned on the room A/C and slept peacefully. Next morning we had complementary breakfast and it was really good. They served tea/Coffee, bread, butter, jam, baked beans, mashed potatoes, omlette, dosa, idly, sambar, chutney and fruit juice.
After the heavy unlimited breakfast we all went to the beach. In the midnight we started from Pondi. My ovderall experience with this hotel was good. Only bad thing is that they need to increase the number of housekeeping staffs. Otherwise stay at Soorya Beach Resort was pretty cool.
