The best part of SS Music is this show. And, the best part about this show is that songs are played back to back, so no VJs, no nonsense, no commercials. (I am confused, is it commercials between the songs or songs between the commercials?) The songs are of good taste, not patronizing any one genre as such but with more of the alternative rock and hip-hop types? definitely better than the crappy indi-pop numbers played on MTV.
Now, coming to the worst part! The worst part of the show is that the songs keep playing in the same sequence everyday. So it?s Shaun Paul followed by Suede, Blue, John Mayor, Limp Bizkit (behind blue eyes! ? Sigh! ;) then Radiohead, Usher and Linkin Park. But there is something good about that as well, you don?t have to watch each and every song cuz you know when your favorite song?s gonna come.

BACKWARDS
Any guesses on how the show works? It?s not a show playing all retro picks. They don?t play songs in reverse too. What VJ Cary does is, he kick starts with a current chart buster and then follows up with tracks in reverse chronology. Good songs and some interesting trivia too. I wonder why Cary came over to SS Music from Channel [V]? He is one of the better VJs around I must say! Tune in from mon-fri at 9 pm. But I do wish this dude could change his closing line. He signs off each show by saying, ?If you can?t do it backwards, it?s not worth it!?

A 15 minute show by VJ Cary again, presenting artist files. So our man out there gives a whole lot of trivia about music and people who make the music with a peek into the artist?s biography. Didja see Robbie?s files? Well, if you didn?t ? it?s just not worth living!

PHONETASTIC
I guess this is a hugely popular show; or at least that?s what I hear from the guys around. And its all for this female called Shreya who presents this show. This is one of those dial-a-song kinds, so we have all these weird and not-so-weird types calling in and talking in Tamil and Shreya would never understand what they say and most people don?t understand what she says too. Shreya has this infectious ?Helloa? style of greeting people. I?ve never really seen the whole show so don?t ask me any more. But one thing I can tell you is that the show is more about the VJ than the music.

REACH OUT
A take on the ?MTV Select? types done by VJ Craig (Is someone listening? If you are, then do tell me why do you call him a loser?) The play list has English, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam songs? talk about variety! I guess he does a decent job, but I have hardly seen glimpses of the show.
