SpamWeasel has worked well for me. It can block most spam (To block all the spam, it requires some configuring) by acting as a proxy between your E-Mail Client and POP3 server. I like the fact that it isnt hard to configure (even for novices) and that when configured, it works. The things that I dont like about it is that it doesnt have a way for it to automatically update the rules and that it doesnt have an option to enable or disable rules. Anyone who wants to get rid of spam and is comfortable configuring programs, should try it. Overall, its easy to configure and set up.
