Spanish fly....The name raised a hundred expectations in my mind when I first heard of this pub from my colleague. Our chotta sa group in my office thought of celebrating a recent success..so we thought of hanging out at Spanish fly...the pub in Asrani International Restaurant, Hyderabad.
We all (me and my colleagues) reached this pub at 8 Pm on the weekend and once I entered the pub, I knew that the ambience was certainly not a virtue of this pub. The arrangement of seats was somehow, not impressive. The pub is mid-sized one, with the bartending platfrom too small for its size.
Added to this, the waiters looked uninterested, and were chatting within themselves. Atlast a lone waiter came by our table, to take the order. I tried a screwdriver and a couple of other cocktails. To be frank, none of them tasted what-they-usually-taste , and the ’’sex on the beach’’ cocktail was most horrible drink I ever had on this earth. I guess the bartender seriously should consider going to a training school to mix drinks.
The side dishes and other entrees were average fare. The usual dishes like Peanut masala and chiken 65 etc tasted stale. These food items however compete with other pubs only in terms of price.
The waiters are poorly trained and don’t look like they have hygenic habits.
My sincere advise to all pub hopping guys/gals in the city, AVOID THIS FLY.
