Sparks started of a year back as part of the Amaravati Group. The place was unique at the time due to its excellent sound system, lighting effects and in general the ambience. But as time progressed we have not seen Sparks doing anything to bolster their image or aim for a changeover like the other places 180 Proof being an example. Bangalore is a city where people get bored of a place fast and this is what we are seeing happening in the case of SPARKS.
Service has been good but could definitely be improved. On event nights they definitely have a space problem as everyone wants to shake a leg leaving no space for glass juggling waiters to move through. The decor could definitely do with a facelift as the signs of wear and tear are no showing and which in certain cases can be a real turn off!
Price-wise they are definitely reasonable but they do not have much of a concept of serving exotic drinks in the right glasses, etc. The bites are good as they reach you hot at least but here again the menu could do with a makeover.
Music has always been the plus point and with their in-house DJs doing an excellent job supplemented by the occasional guest DJ for the events they have managed to rope in the crowds purely for the fact that the crowd has always responded to the music being played which is naturally a morale booster to the DJ. But unless more space is created and the make-shift dance floor becomes a dedicated one space to dance is always going to be going at a premium.
In general a nice place to chill out to listen to good music but close your eyes to the decor.
