I had a real harrowing experience and a hard time cancelling my booking of Dzire ZDi after waiting for 4 weeks as Spectra Motors, Goregaon was not committing any delivery date even for next 6 weeks at least. But they were still happily taking bookings and promising delivery within a month to all unsuspecting customers and collecting huge deposits.
Even after giving them a formal cancellation letter, they kept giving me stories about their Director not being in office or traveling for wedding etc for days, till I literally had to stage a DHARNA with my wife at their showroom. Amazingly, within half an hour, the Director’s flight landed in Mumbai and he was located at Malad workshop.
The worst part was that the salesguy Suchit, who gave an impression earlier as if he was trying everything to help me buy the right car for me, just refused to take my calls after I cancelled the booking and asked refund of the booking amount. I had to take leave from my office to go and sit at their showroom and create a scene in front of 50 other customers before they attended to my complaint as no one was interested to talk to me if I was not buying anything.
