Spice curry is located on 80 feet road, Indiranagar , Bangalore. got good reviews from friends so just tried out last week with a friend of mine.was in a mood to try out coastal dishes and fish.so ordered Bagadi Fish tikka as starter, prawn chatpata masala, malabar fish curry and hydrabadi dum biriyani as main course..
don’t know why they served prawn chatpata first as starter, anyway the prawns were soft, big, tasty, masala was flavored with coriander leaves and we were hungry, so it went down immediately, next came fish tikka, not the best fish tikka I had ever but certainly one of the better ones, only complaint, the flavor didn’t dissolve completely in the fish tikka as it should, but the tikka was soft .May be better marination would do the needful. hydrabadi chicken biriyani was a bit over spicy but coocked well, I liked malabar fish curry better, nice and spicy base with perfectly cooked fish.may be a bit more coconut flavor would have done wonders.
now the ambiance was good, there is different section for family and boys(or people who have come with friends !!!) with automatic sliding door and good interior, but service was not upto the mark, nobody notices when your glass of water is getting empty, or you plate is getting empty for second serve.when I asked for alcohol menu they said that they only serve vodka with 7up. I was craving for a good whiskey with this spicy food but......
the value for money can be rated as 6/10, total bill was 706 Rs for 2 person. not that expensive.
overall good experience, I can recommend this place to my friends.
