I am a Spice Youth user and have been using this from past few months....Only reason I went for this was because of the unlimited validity scheme. Now it seems they have introduced the validity scheme just like other services.This made me feel to switch to other services as they have better call rate packages whereas Spice has flat Rs3 per call.
Also when I enquired about the poor network and call dropping problems with the customer care executives I got a shocking reply to use the phone wherever the network is available and they said they are well aware of the fact that the network quality is poor in certain parts of Bangalore but are not ready to improve the same in the near future!
When it comes to billing you wont get an update about your balance as and when you make an outgoing call or send a sms unlike other services. It happens only at pre-set time intervals and u will always be in doubt about your balance. When this issue was brought to notice I was advised to take a detailed bill and verify. This detailed bill again costs me of Rs.49!
Meanwhile for a period of 20 days all my sms were charged at a double rate and only when I noticed this and questioned a complaint was taken and they took 15 days to resolve the issue. Again my account was credited with Rs.8 whereas an actual amount in excess of Rs.25 had to be credited, and when this issue was raised I got a clean neat answer saying they have the proof for the credits and in case I need to verify that 17Rs balance I need to spend 49Rs and go for detailed bill. Is’nt this crazy!!??
No wonder, With such facilities provided many Spice users will be opting for other services sooner or later....
