Pathetic service

We had a horrible experience while flying Mumbai to Kolkata on 12th May’12 on SG-804. While I was waiting to collect my luggage at the Kolkata airport, a Spicejet employee walked up to me and requested to see my boarding pass. On checking it, he informed me, with the least bit repentance that my luggage will be arriving by the next Indigo flight.It was the same fate for 5 families.The reason given was that as the pilot had to take in more fuel dur to turbulent weather conditions(The captain n flight crew (6 ppl)walked past us with their luggages. A old lady on the flight requested for cotton to use as a ear plug as she was in discomfort was curtly informed that they did not carry cotton on board(I m guessing there was non in the first aid kit). So while the ground staff offered to send the luggage home, I didn’t trust them as I had a journey to undertake the next day.


I waited at the airport and send my wife & infant kid home with a relative as it was already 2145 hrs. The least they cud have done to compensate the discomfort was to offer us a cab to home/some refreshments. But I guess they are only concerned that the flight schedules are adhered to so that they can put forth their claims as the most punctual airline at the lowest price !!! On the return journey, to my horror, I was provided tissue paper when I asked for cotton for my infant’s ear!!! When I complained to their customer service, I was sent a typical formatted sorry mail.


Disgusting service !! or rather the lack of it !!
