Spicejet-- the best and one of the low cost air service nowadays. I fully agree to this .
But I fail to understand that why dont they refund the amount upon cancellation?
It happened to me recently that I booked 2 tickets from Mumbai to Delhi for 26th November each costing Rs.2470.But due to some unavoidable circumstances the visit was cancelled and I had to get the tickets cancelled.
But when I called the customer care to know about the cancellation procedure I was told that Rs. 500 per ticket are non-refundable and the balance amount would be retained by them for a period of 1 year.If in the meantime one wants to travel with Spicejet on any sector then he can avail the balance amount otherwise the money would be refunded after a period of 1 year.
How disgusting? Plus it adds to the frustration when the tickets are booked through Credit card.It means once you have done the transaction your money is almost gone even if you do not travel.
So what I wanted to convey is that book the tickets with Spicejet only if you are sure that you will be travelling.Else a part of the money is gone and the rest is blocked. BEWARE!!!!!!!
