Don't Blame Spicejet !!!

When you and me got delayed it is our fault in most of the times. Not with airlines. I had an informal chat with a flight engineer on a Spicejet flight to Delhi from Goa and according to him, an interval review reveal that government run airport services account for 80% delays of most of the airlines. The flight engineer onboard also told me that there are 38 flights waiting ahead of us to land, therefore; on 2 hours journey, one extra hour got wasted on landing permission. I think it is wrong to blame airlines.

Further, we Indians have a bad habit, especially who travel via air to reach at the last moment. Airlines try to accommodate even at the last moment, but it to the delays.

There are other reasons for flight delays, like VVIP movements. On my way back from Raipur flight, we were forced to remained seated in the flight after landing just because some VVIP plane was taking off from Air Force’s runway nearby. Air Force and Navy’s excercise on-route also cause delays.

After getting the complete picture and saga, I have stopped complaining DELAYS atleast.
