My spicejet flight SG 95 Mangalore to Dubai was scheduled to depart at 00:15 on 17 Jan, 2018. Due to the pilot reporting in drunk condition and the check in counter not closing 45 minutes before departure, the flight departed almost six(6) hours late at 06:00 hrs.
This put the 200+ passengers in a pathetic condition at the small waiting area at the Mangalore airport. Nobody from the airline bothered to provide any information or support. One lone lady personal was only available. After lot of hungama, few people and gave wrong excuses of closure of runway, which is normal at Mangalore to close from 00:30 to 04:30.
Then again the flight failed to take off at the promised time of 05:15, due to delayed boarding, technical issues. No sympathy was shown to the passengers and the arrogant behavior of Spicejet was evident. all throughout.
Incidents like these happen, but handling the situation and taking care of passengers shows the true colors of any service organization.
Request all to boycott Spicejet and escape the harassment.
