Me and my husband were flying by Delhi - Srinagar Flight (SG853) which departs Delhi at 11.30am on March 29, 06. Unfortunately due to a traffic jam outside the airport, we reported at the counter at 11.03am which was only 3 minutes over the supposed time the counter closes. The Spicejet staff was unhelpful and downright rude and refused to check us in as they claimed we were 3 minutes late and the counter had supposedly closed, although 27 minutes is enough time for us to check in and board the aircraft. I am very dissapointed by this rude and unprofessioanl behaviour of the spicejet staff. In this day of competetion, it is expected of an airline to be more accomodating. Other airlines like Jet & sahara are flexible and allow passengers to check in even 20 minutes before take off.
Due to this terrible experience I will ensure that I dont fly by Spicejet again and discourage my friends and family to use this airline. I expect a full refund of our tickets plus a compensation for the mental and physical torture we had to go through due to the Spicejet staff. The only reason we could not avail of these tickets is due to their unhelpful and arrogant attitude as they could have been more accomodating.
