Never Fly Spicejet (Pyjama Airlines)

It’s the worst airline service ever. My wife and mother in law were suppose to fly from Ahmadabad to Delhi from SG104 at 7am on 26.07.2010. They had come to meet me over the weekend.


I received an automated call at 3:45am from an automated system informing me that the flight has been delayed because of operational issues to 1140 hrs. All plans, schedule and reason for booking an air ticket go for a toss when an airline is delayed by almost 5 hours for a journey of 80mins.


I contacted their customer care 4 times till 0930hours to confirm the departure time of flight and was assured that the flight will depart at 1140 hours. My wife and mother in law reached the airport at 10am and were informed that another flight SG106 departed at 10am to delhi and they could have been accommodated there.


Our blood boiled, such poor customer service of not informing customer of an alternate availability. Moving on at 1130 hours all 45 odd remaining passengers were told that the flight is delayed by another 3 hours. No food or refreshment were provided. A big flight ensued and all customers were told to make booking in the next indigo flight on their own and pay 5k upwards. After arguments of 40 mins and a threat of suing the airline by my wife(shes a lawyer) , their staff agreed to shift all passengers to indigo flight.


Mental agony, harassment, misinformation, lack of alternate facility communication , non- availability of refreshments, loss of 3 casual leaves since the weekend holidays were counted as leaves all were faced by my wife.


Please help me and lets passengers like me connect together and find a way to sue the airline for mental agony and harassment.
