Hi,
This is in connection with Ref. CR/285934/2014. I had booked 3 return tickets to Goa from their website. I was charged, everything went fine, but on the final screen, they said they couldnt confirm the ticket!
I raised a query and their executive immediately called me back to tell me to make alternate arrangements, stating that shed refund the entire amount as it was a failure from their end!
I asked her since she already has my 13 odd thousand blocked, why doesnt she issue fresh tickets against this amount anyways? She said no, its from another department and all that she can do is refund me within 5 working days and that I need to make fresh bookings via a fresh payment.
I said fine & I went ahead and booked from another website as I had lost trust in SpiceJet! I get an e-mail from their team stating
"Reference:- CR/285934/2014.
Dear Sir,
This is with reference to the failed transaction of Rs.13, 257/- using internet banking account through our website https://spicejet.com dated 26th February’2014.
The inconvenience caused is regretted and we are currently working at resolving the issue. The details of the failed transaction have been noted for the refund and we shall revert to you accordingly in coming working days as per their response. We shall keep you updated on the status from time to time. You may proceed with the fresh reservation.
Please do quote the complaint reference number mentioned in this email in future correspondence.

Till date, I have been following up with them on Twitter as well as through e-mail, but they keep giving daft replies, such as "Pratima Rai?@flyspicejet Feb 28.
@JudeBrent: The refund will be initiated in upcoming working days. Your patience shall be highly appreciated."
Spicejet refuses to mention a date & keep saying "Upcoming Days" in their replies to me. This is highly unprofessional. They charge you, dont issue tickets and they hold onto your money as if it were theirs!
Furthermore looking at the negative reviews up here, its pretty evident most customers are being hassled over refunds and SpiceJet is having a gala time! Its high time someone takes action against these cheats!
