Almost there

I recently travelled to Chennai and back on Spicejet. This was my first experience on low cost airline. The staff was cooperative and eager to help always. But the luggage scanning counter was manned by shabbily dressed individuals who were handling GoAir also. Less spoken about the Delhi Airports 1C terminal better. It looked as if I was in the railway station. Once inside the flight, things were lot better. On board staff was equally very eagar to help. After boarding flight at 2130 hours eating cookies was slightly off target. But they tasted good. However on touch down in Chennai, luggage took 40 minutes to reach us. That was bad. Return journey at 0215 Hours started with both computers at the counters not working. We had plenty of time for flight to take off. This meant that we had to wait for 45 minutes after which it was decided that the boarding passes will be written by hand. When we entered the flight, the flight was dirty. Chocolate wrappers could be seen all over the place. In quite a few seats left overs of the eatables were still intact. While the staff was very cordial, the look of the air plane was a huge negative. More so when they offered cookies at 0300 hours in the morning. They are doing a fair job but things can definitely improve. I understand spicejet is better than other low-budget airlines but that does not mean that this experience can be easily forgotten. The tickets are neatly formatted and the instructions loud and clear.
