Spicejet has recently announced 10 Lakh seat @ Rs. 2013 only anywhere in India for travel during the period Feb 2013 -April 2013 . Tickets can be booked between 11 th Jan 2013 to 13 th 2013.
As per terms and conditions you can book through their website or travel agencies. I tried doing a booking through spicejet.com and yatra.com its travel agent/partner. Spicejet.com gives the message due to heavy rush site is unable to take any requests pls. try after some time for the entire day.
Yatra.com would allow you to book show you the price from eg say Bangalore to New Delhi flight -one way as Rs. 2013. As soon you start to book thinking you have made it. It will change the fare to Rs. 8500 !!! for one way saying fares have changed. This is forty percent more than the regular fare but four times the discounted fare.
Spicejet can claim it gave seats on discounted prices. This can never be verified. Would you ask your co passenger how much you paid for the seat? Maybe this is to hoodwink the tax guys and show losses.
Not only this airline gives bad service but is unethical as well.
